Skookum Family Partnership

Services available to Households
Impacted by Flooding in Whatcom County

Skookum Kids’ Family Partnership Program is proud to partner with Whatcom County and the Healthy Children’s Fund to offer in-home services to families affected by historic flooding in our community.  Families who receive services will have access to weekly meetings with a therapeutic provider in their home and a budget to help pay for basic needs and housing stabilization over the course of a 90 day period.

Referrals encouraged from:

  • Whatcom Long Term Recovery/Whatcom Strong North Sound ACH

  • School districts & Childcare providers

  • Whatcom County Health and Community Services

Eligible households must:

  • • Prior CPS involvement or investigation

    • Mental Health Concerns (diagnosed or suspected; caregiver or child)

    • Housing Instability

    • History of domestic violence

    • History of substance abuse or addiction

    • Concerns regarding child development/behavior

Skookum Kids will prioritize families experiencing multiple overlapping stressors and who are unlikely to achieve stabilization through financial assistance alone.
